This evening, 43 crews will take part in the ceremonial start of the 48th Rally Bulgaria in front of the cathedral temple “Sveto Uspenie Bogorodichno”. 43 crews have passed the technical review. Probably so much will go tomorrow along the route.
After the shakedown, it became clear that the battle would be very close. The difference in top results is tenths of a second. The fastest were Turkish R5 drivers. First with a time – 1: 30.3 is Yagis Avci with Peugeot 208 T16, and only three-tenths after it – 1: 30.6 is his compatriot Orhan Avcioglu with Ford Fiesta. Third is Ugur Soylu with Skoda Fabia.
The Bulgarian driver Plamen Staikov with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 is 4th with a time of 1: 34,3, and only a tenth after it – 1: 34,4 is Ignat Isaev with Citroen DS3 R3 Max – 5th. Tihomir Stratiev is seventh with Peugeot 208 R2. In the Hyundai Racing Trophy championship, as expected, the fastest was Simeon Simeonov, five-tenths ahead of Martin Koev, also with the Hyundai i20 coupe.
