A close battle for the 4th place in the overall standings emerges after the 9th “White Water 2” rally in Bulgaria. It has involved the local driver Tihomir Stratiev with codriver Zdravko Popov, Miroslav Angelov/Nedjalko Sivov, both with Peugeot 208 R2, and Stanislav Vladimirov with Opel Astra. After the stage, Statiev is 4th, 13.7 seconds behind him is Angelov, and Vladimirov is 2.7 seconds behind Miroslav.
In the 9th stage, Vladimirov was fastest of them, who recorded 9:25.0 min and was the 6th in the overall standings for the stage. In front of him was Ignat Isaev with the codriver Milen Iliev with the Citroen DS3 R3 Max.
He continues to be the highest ranked Bulgarian driver in the overall standings in third place. Far ahead of him are Yagiz Avci with codriver Bahadir Gucenmez with Peugeot 208 R5 and Burak Cukurova/Vedat Bostanci with Skoda Fabia R5.
One of the favorites for the victory – Plamen Staykov, with driver David Quartzhelia (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9), who in the second stage had 2 punctures, finished second in the 9th stage and he is 16th in the overall ranking.
