Avci is leading after the first day in rally Bulgaria

Yagiz Avci with his codriver Bahadir Gusenmez with Peugeot 208 R5 is leading convincingly after the first day of rally Bulgaria. After 7 stages, the Turkish driver has an advance of 1:10.4 min ahead of his compatriot Burak Cukurova / Vedat Bostaci with Skoda Fabia R5. Third is Ignat Isaev with Citroen DS3 R3, 2:14.3 minutes behind the leader Avci. He is also the best-ranked Bulgarian driver.

4 th is Tihomir Stratiev/Zdravko Popov with Peugeot 208 R2, and fifth is Miroslav Angelov with codriver Nedjalko Sivov. Six is Mustafa Cakal with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, followed by Stanislav Vladimirov with Opel Astra.

One of the main contenders for the victory Plamen Staikov with codriver David Kvaratshelia with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, who this year competes under a Georgian license, won the most stage victories for the day – 4. He, however, had 2 punctures at the beginning of the second stage. That's why he lost over 9 minutes. Staykov is 18th in the overall standings after the end of the first day.

So far, there have been no serious incidents in the rally except Rizza Rizov/Ivan Ovcharov who hit a tree after a broken wheel. Both are unharmed. The classification of Hyundai Racing Trophy is led by Simeon Simeonov / Yordan Yordanov. They are leaders in RC5 class and have gap of 15.6 seconds ahead of Martin Koev and Dimo Bozukov.
