The crew of „Megaport” Miroslav Nikolov/Nedyalko Sivov (Skoda Fabia R5) won the opening stage of rally “Bulgaria” 2018 on the streets of Albena resort. The leaders in the National Championship finished the 5,9 km timed section 0,6 seconds ahead of Dimitar Iliev/Krum Donchev (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX).
The eight time rally champion Iliev, who was in the role of the pilot, while Donchev was co-driver, drove primarily for the fans and stay just steps from Angelov. The first three teams, among which also found a place the crew of ART Racing – Yordan Atanasov and Yanaki Yanakiev (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX), finished within 1.7 seconds behind the leaders. Kalin Benchev and Alexander Spirov (Subaru Impreza) took the lead in the group E and reached the fourth place in the overall standings.
