The crew Krum Donchev/Dimitar Iliev (Mitsubishi Lanser Evo 9) dropped out of rally „Bulgaria” 2018. The star tandem in which both men exchanged the roles of pilot and copilot in various stages, ended his involvement shortly before the finish line of SS9 “White water 2”. In this stage the car was driven by Donchev.
The reason for the dropping of Mitko and Krum is engine failure in their Mitsubihi. Before the accident, the crew was second in the standings. Both, like pilots have 2 wins from rally Bulgaria years ago. Dimitar is eight time Bulgarian rally champiom, Krum – four times.
After the retiterement of the veterans, things in the overall standings will undergo a serious twist. The only sure thing is that for the moment Miroslav Angelov and Edi Sivov (Skoda Fabia R5) are still at the head of the standings after they gave the best time and the second passage of “White water”.
Stay tuned for details!
